Cage Key and Grisha Pup Guide
Available evidence places the Cage Key at the hunter camp near Mushroom Village, identified by the developer as Grisha Camp. It does not verify the keyword wording “Seeping Mire Cage Key,” so this page uses the location terminology found in the source.
Where the Cage Key is used
Near the Mushroom Village Beacon, find the area with several hunters and an adjacent cage. The Open Beta discussion reports buying the Cage Key from a hunter and using it on that cage.
The cage is associated with a Grisha Pup and an optional item interaction. This is separate from the Mushroom Village Key, which is found through the dancers' hidden archway.
If the cage is empty
The developer-confirmed Open Beta workaround is:
- Enter the dungeon next to Grisha Camp.
- Leave the dungeon and return to the camp.
- Check whether the hunters and Grisha Pup have reappeared.
Players also reported that resting at a Beacon could refresh missing camp characters, but the dungeon exit method is the workaround explicitly given by the developer in the Steam thread.
Avoid spending the key on the wrong assumption
Confirm that the Grisha Pup and hunters are present before using the key. If the cage or camp state looks empty, refresh the area first. The developer response identifies this as a logged beta bug rather than a hidden progression requirement.
